iNTO tHE wOODS jR. winter/spring2025
INTO THE WOODS JR. - 4th - 8th grade.
Be careful what you wish for, as Stephen Sondheim’s and James Lapine’s cockeyed fairytale comes to life in this adaptation of their groundbreaking, Tony Award-winning musical. Into the Woods JR. features all of your favorite characters — Cinderella, Little Red Riding Hood, Jack (and his beanstalk) and the Witch — in this lyrically rich retelling of classic Brothers Grimm fables.
The musical centers on a baker and his wife, who wish to have a child; Cinderella, who wishes to attend the King's festival; and Jack, who wishes his cow would give milk. When the baker and his wife learn that they cannot have a child because of a witch's curse, the two set off on a journey to break the curse, and wind up changed forever.
Dates: January 28th - May 2nd 2025
Class meets on Tuesdays from 4:30-6:30.
Performances on May 2nd at 7:00pm and May 3rd at 2:00pm and 7:00pm
*Cast party in between Saturday's performances!
Cost: $375
There is also a mandatory rehearsal on Saturday, April 26th from 10-2 and mandatory tech rehearsals on April 30th, and May 1st from 4:30-7pm.

*It is imperative that all students attend all classes if at all possible. Staff and students will be putting together a 60 minute musical and it is very important to have all students in class as everyone counts on each other. Putting together a show is truly a team effort! Students that miss more than two classes may possibly be removed from musical numbers they were not in class to learn. Re-teaching numbers that were not learned in class can take time away from learning the show for other students.

Willy Wonka KIDS WINTER /SPRING 2025
Willy Wonka KIDS 1st - 6th Grade
The delicious adventures experienced by Charlie Bucket on his visit to Willy Wonka's mysterious chocolate factory light up the stage in this captivating adaptation of Roald Dahl's fantastical tale. Featuring the enchanting songs from the 1971 film starring Gene Wilder, in addition to a host of fun new songs, Roald Dahl's Willy Wonka KIDS is a scrumdidilyumptious musical guaranteed to delight everyone's sweet tooth.
Classes meet Mondays 4:15 - 6:00 Beginning January 6th.
Performances: March 21st at 7:00pm and 22nd at 2:00pm
Cost: $350
*Cast party following the 2pm performance down in The Spotlight Studio!
There will be a mandatory review day on Saturday March 15th from 10am - 12pm. As well as tech rehearsal on March 19th and 20th from 4PM - 6pm (snow date March 1st 10-11:30. Will only happen in case of a cancelled class due to weather. )

***Please note that an abundance of absences from class could result in the student being pulled from certain songs/scenes in the show due to the time constraint for review and teaching. Attendance is very important! Please also note that the focus of this class is to put together an entire 30 minute production. This entails lots of focus, waiting and listening skills. If you feel your child is not ready for this type of focus, it may be best to wait until they are ready :)

Beetlejuice jr. Winter / Spring grades 7th - 12th
It's our show now, kid. The ghost-with-the-most comes to the stage in Beetlejuice JR., the frightfully funny musical based on the beloved motion picture turned Broadway phenomenon. Lydia Deetz is a strange and unusual teenager, still grieving the loss of her mother and obsessed with the whole “being dead thing.” Lucky for Lydia, she and her father move to a new house haunted by a recently deceased couple and Beetlejuice, a delightful demon with a real zest for life. When Lydia calls on Beetlejuice to scare away anyone with a pulse, this double-crossing specter shows his true stripes, unleashing a (Nether)world of pandemonium.
Dates: February 5th - May 17th 2025
